In Wilmington, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across North Carolina, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Its website is celticcreamery.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Wilmington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Celtic Creamery is an absolute gem! The ice cream was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The truffles were just as impressive..smooth, decadent, and absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re stopping in for ice cream, chocolates, or both, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re in the Wilmington area, I highly recommend giving Celtic Creamery a visit. I will definitely be back!

Celtic Creamery is one of those places I keep coming back to without really planning itβ€”it just fits into my routine whenever I want something simple and comforting. Every time I go in, it has that calm, welcoming feel that makes you slow down a bit. The staff is easygoing, never rushed, which makes even a quick stop feel relaxed. The ice cream is what keeps me coming back. It’s incredibly smooth and rich, and I can still remember the first time I realized it tastes noticeably fresher and creamier than most places around here. I usually mean to try something new, but I end up going back to the same favorites because they’re just that good. It’s not flashy or overdoneβ€”it just quietly does ice cream really well, and that’s exactly why I like it.

The ice cream is very good. They have a lot of combination options between the bases (cones, cups, etc.), flavors, and toppings. Their Butter Pecan is my favorite BP I've ever had. However, the candy is so expensive. I was excited to see they changed to a scoop system for the candy corner, but it was over $7 per pound, and I spent close to $40 letting my kids choose, and they only filled a third of the provided bag. It certainly didn't look like 5 lbs of candy, so make sure you go easy! Also, I asked the teen girls who were working a pretty simple question about using a reward coupon, and it took 4 tries for them to give me an answer, because they were so distracted by a "cute" boy coming into the store to see them. I really hope they lock in before summer comes.

Great ice cream 🍦, great staff πŸ‘πŸ˜Š. $14 for 2-Scoops + 3-Scoops. Since my first review I have visited this place tons of times πŸ’―. Let me say that the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and you have to try their sundae options 🍨, they are DELICIOUS πŸ˜‹πŸ€€! They even have fudge and candy in store along with made-to-order hot donuts. This place is awesome, check them out! πŸ‘€
